Music Realm : Hindi Songs of Sri. Mohd. Rafi

It may sound idiotic to even attempt singing
the great Mohd. Rafi's songs. But as a singer
I am trying to increase my range and the variety
of songs I could sing.. Hence this effort.

such was the quality. Naushad who has this composition
among other innumerable ones, was even considered
as his mentor by Sri MSV...

contain many gamakas & sangathis relative to
south indian songs.. but for Rafi saab's songs.
Even the great SPB once has said... he might
have unknowingly followed the style of Rafi
sir's singing.

explored the depths and the range of Rafi's voice
through O DUniya ke rakhwale... always did justice to
the great man's voice by giving him such haunting
compositions...

I am glad that ...I attempted this song... which certainly
is an all time hit songs of any Indian singer in light
music arena. Very difficult song... and to mention, I sang
this song four times at a stretch and finalized the

What a song...!! one other high pitchc breezy number
by the great man. I had listened to this song once
earlier... but when I heard it in the movie Monsoon WEdding
(few years back) played as a BG song for one of the
scenes, I was floored.
Here is my attempt at singing this wonderful song.
Endig phrases of each lines in the song is wonderfully
done by the master singer.
